DocPoint Solutions’ Scan On Demand Solution Gives Cornerstone the Credentials to Compete Nationally

Cornerstone Records Management, a growing provider of physical storage and basic scanning services, aimed to expand from a regional to a national footprint but lacked a centrally administered, locally implemented document conversion and secure hosting capability. To build a cost-effective, scalable solution and train sales and operations staff while migrating customers off a simple ASP system, Cornerstone engaged DocPoint Solutions and parent company Quality Associates, Inc. for expertise in enterprise distributed capture and ECM.

DocPoint and QAI implemented a Scan On Demand solution using Fujitsu scanners with Kofax Capture for scalable scan-to-archive processing, Microsoft SharePoint for ECM (extended with AvePoint reporting and Atalasoft DotImage viewers), and hosted the service with Fpweb.net to minimize upfront infrastructure costs. The result is a secure, thin‑client, searchable scanning service (back‑file and day‑forward) that integrated with Microsoft environments, enabled Cornerstone’s national expansion, attracted new imaging clients, and continues to evolve through ongoing DocPoint/QAI consulting and partnerships.
