DIRTT Environmental Solutions, a Calgary-based maker of customizable, sustainable interiors, faced a growing problem in accounts payable: despite most vendors emailing invoices, staff printed, routed, approved and sometimes re-scanned documents, creating paper-filled filing cabinets, untracked bottlenecks and limited scalability.

DIRTT deployed an automated invoice processing solution—ACOM integrated with Kofax ReadSoft—natively tied to its accounting system and rolled out in five weeks. The change delivered 100% visibility, boosted throughput from about 120 to 230 invoices per day, enabled digital archiving (eliminating 16 filing cabinets), improved cash management and freed AP staff to focus on higher-value work.
