Compañía Española de Petróleos (CEPSA) is a global petroleum group of more than 11,000 employees operating in multiple countries. Facing rapid expansion and rising costs, CEPSA needed to modernize a legacy analog fax infrastructure that handled over 30,000 faxes a month and to automate manual invoice processing, while ensuring seamless integration with its ERPs and office tools and delivering scalable, organization-wide savings.

CEPSA deployed Kofax Communication Server™ to centralize and convert fax and email traffic to FoIP and Kofax Transformation™ to capture and validate supplier invoices, replacing analog lines and scanning documents at central sites for automated ERP loading. The fax migration took one week, the Madrid decommissioning paid back in year one, and the program delivered a ~70% reduction in spending from year two onward, plus lower maintenance, reduced paper and power use, faster processing and fewer invoice errors across all subsidiaries.
