CEPSA Implements a Fax-over-IP System and Automates its Invoice Management Thanks to Kofax

Compañía Española de Petróleos (CEPSA) is a global oil and gas group with over 11,000 employees operating in multiple countries. The company was incurring high costs and delays from more than 30,000 monthly faxes sent over analog lines and from manual supplier invoice processing, and needed a scalable, ERP-integrated solution that would cut communications costs, improve information flow (including SMS to sales) and eliminate manual data-entry errors.

CEPSA implemented Kofax Communication Server to centralize and migrate fax and email to Fax-over-IP and deployed Kofax Transformation Modules to automate invoice capture, extraction and validation. The fax migration was completed in about a week, the solution integrated with CEPSA’s ERP and document systems, and the combined project reached break-even in the first year in Madrid, reduced spending by about 70%, eliminated manual invoice handling and delivered company-wide efficiency and accuracy gains.
