Beyond Digital Business Accelerates Travel-Expenses Admin with Artificial Intelligence

Beyond Digital Business, a Germany-based IT specialist in digital workflows, set out to eliminate the time-consuming, repetitive admin of travel-expense reporting that distracts employees from core work. Faced with piles of receipts and slow manual processing, the company aimed to build an intuitive mobile solution to minimize form-filling and speed reimbursements.

Working with UDIT GmbH and Kofax, Beyond Digital Business launched Xpense2Cash — an AI- and machine-learning powered mobile app that captures, cleans and classifies receipts using Kofax’s capture and transformation tools. The agile-built solution delivers a 75% faster expense workflow, has processed 17,500 receipts in one quarter, been rolled out to 5,800 users at a client, earned two Red Dot design awards, and achieves very high user satisfaction and adoption.
