A Tungsten Automation Case Study
Arteris, Brazil’s largest toll‑road operator managing over 3,250 km of highways across nine concessionaires, moved to a shared services model to cut costs, standardize processes and improve service quality. The challenge was consolidating accounts payable, receivable, records and reporting into a single Shared Services Center without losing company‑specific knowledge—requiring deep visibility into SLAs, KPIs and end‑to‑end process performance so teams could operate accurately and management could make informed decisions.
Working with TR Process and Tungsten, Arteris deployed TotalAgility, Insight and TR Process smart process applications, reconfiguring about 160 AP processes and bringing the SSC live in under five months. The new platform delivered automated, digitized workflows and unified analytics, enabling faster month‑end closes, timelier supplier invoicing and clear traceability across operations. As a result Arteris halved the workforce supporting key services—operating with roughly 40% fewer staff than comparable SSCs—while improving efficiency, governance and plans to expand automation further with RPA.
