A Tungsten Automation Case Study
Amcor, a global packaging leader, was hampered by an inefficient and insecure printing environment across five Australian offices: employees faced long queues, missing or unclaimed jobs, and devices low on paper or toner, while unsecured output trays and excess desktop printers drove user dissatisfaction, wasted time and increased costs.
Working with Lanier (a Ricoh company), Amcor deployed Kofax ControlSuite—primarily Equitrac with Print-to-Me—on Lanier MFDs with proximity card readers so users authenticate and release jobs from a virtual queue. The solution cut print expenses by more than 15%, reduced printers and drivers from 26 to 8 (about a 75% reduction in drivers), lowered help-desk calls, eliminated extra hardware to manage, and improved productivity while reducing paper, ink and toner waste.
