AIA Rolls out first-in-market,100% paperless insurance applications on tablets

AIA Group, a leading pan‑Asian life insurer operating across 17 markets, launched its iPoS (Interactive Point of Sale) initiative to enable a fully paperless, tablet‑based sales process so advisors could engage customers more spontaneously and effectively. A critical challenge was securely integrating e‑signatures on iPads—first‑in‑market for many jurisdictions—while satisfying regulators and keeping the solution easy to deploy.

AIA integrated Kofax SignDoc e‑signature into iPoS, adding biometric, encrypted signing and document capture directly on the tablet for quick, robust iOS deployment. The rollout—now the largest single‑company e‑signature deployment—covers 11 Asian markets with over 30,000 advisors using iPoS, delivering deeper customer engagement, higher advisor productivity and faster straight‑through processing, often enabling same‑day coverage.
