Alpek Polyester, a leading low-cost producer of PET resin, faced major accounts payable strain after acquisitions more than doubled its production and invoice volume. Its centralized AP team was still relying on manual data entry and exception handling in SAP, which caused late fees, limited visibility, and growing pressure on vendor relationships.
