House of Fraser, one of Britain’s largest department store groups, wanted to create a more personalised online shopping experience to help customers buy more and return less. In 2013, the retailer partnered with True Fit to improve fit, style and size guidance on houseoffraser.com across apparel and footwear.
True Fit implemented a personalisation platform that let shoppers build fit profiles and used product data from up to 95% of House of Fraser’s online apparel to generate instant recommendations. The results were significant: more than 3.5 million customers created True Fit profiles, over 20 million recommendations were made, returns fell among users, and True Fit helped drive a 6% to 8% lift in sitewide revenue.
