Leach & Russell Mechanical Leverages Trimble SysQue and Trimble Layout Solution

Leach & Russell Mechanical, an Indiana-based mechanical contractor on the Community Hospital East project, needed to improve its BIM workflow, strengthen collaboration with other trades, and increase prefabrication in a controlled environment before field assembly. They engaged Trimble MEP and adopted Trimble SysQue along with Trimble Layout-related tools (Trimble RTS873 and Trimble Field Link) to centralize 3D models and add manufacturing-specific data.

Trimble MEP’s solution enabled all subcontractors to work from the same 3D model, improving clash detection and coordination so installations proceeded faster and prefab plans met MEP requirements. The approach delivered higher-quality designs in less time and ensured layout accuracy—control points were 100% validated—resulting in more efficient fabrication and installation.
