Arup, a global multidisciplinary engineering firm with 600 electrical engineers, needed an electrical design software platform that could support IEC-standard projects worldwide, simplify information sharing with consultants and contractors, and provide the sophistication and technical support required for complex designs. Trimble MEP’s electrical design tools, especially ProDesign, were selected to meet these needs.

Trimble MEP implemented Designer Suite, including ProDesign, Protect HV, PowerNet HV, and SingleCable, giving Arup an integrated workflow for electrical design, protection coordination, and short-circuit analysis. The solution made design changes faster and more efficient through automatic updates between programs, improved collaboration through an internal knowledge network and vendor support, and helped Arup keep pace with changing regulations and standards.
