Case Study: J.M. Brennan achieves 15% cost savings and 90% prefabrication with Trimble MEP (SysQue)

A Trimble MEP Case Study

Preview of the J.M. Brennan Case Study

15% Cost Savings with Streamlined BIM Workflow

J.M. Brennan, a family-owned mechanical contractor, needed to boost productivity and produce designs with a higher Level of Detail (LOD) that included real-world specifications to support prefabrication and installation. To address this, they partnered with Trimble MEP and implemented Trimble SysQue along with Trimble RTS-655, SysQue Supports for point layout, and Trimble Tablet to extend Autodesk Revit MEP with manufacturing-specific, construction-ready content.

Using Trimble MEP’s SysQue workflow, J.M. Brennan produced fabrication-ready BIM models earlier in the process, generated spool sheets and exact BOMs, and streamlined field layout with total-station integration. The outcome: prefabrication increased to about 90%, overall cost savings of roughly 15%, reduced labor and material waste, faster and more accurate point layout, and improved multi-trade coordination—enabling faster installation and more competitive bidding.
