KLM, the Dutch airline with more than 30,000 employees, needed a better way to support continuous learning, personal development budgets, and access to a large, up-to-date training catalog across internal and external providers. Working with Totara and partner Bloomville, KLM wanted to strengthen its learning culture while gaining control over training orders, billing, and budget usage.

Totara helped power KLM MyLearning with Totara Learn and integrated external content via Bloomville’s Learningville®, creating a single sign-on learning portal with dashboards, search, reporting, and budget management. The results included significant work and cost savings from automation, more than 30,000 users on the platform, several thousand external course bookings, nearly 7,000 external course options, and discount savings of 10–35% on external training.
