Noorderpoort, one of the largest regional education centres in the Northern Netherlands, needed a safe and efficient way to run a coronavirus rapid testing pilot so students and staff could return to more in-person classes. The challenge was to support the full process—from test requests to results—while strictly protecting sensitive personal data. TOPdesk’s platform was used to manage the workflow and registration.
TOPdesk helped Noorderpoort set up the solution in just three days, with separate workflows for reception staff, lab assistants, and the company doctor, plus automatic anonymization and deletion of personal data. The system also ensured secure access through the ROC app and supported the secure export of medical records to the company doctor. In the first 2.5 days, around 100 students and staff used the testing site, and feedback was positive about how quick and easy the process was.
