Umra Provides Pflugerville Isd With Efficient User Account Provisioning

Pflugerville ISD, a Central Texas district of 29 schools serving nearly 24,000 students and 2,800 staff, faced major account-management failures: their previous system crashed frequently, took weeks to process thousands of accounts, required a full-time summer employee, and couldn’t handle Office 365—leaving students and staff unable to log in at the start of semesters. To address this, Pflugerville ISD selected Tools4ever and its User Management Resource Administrator (UMRA).

Tools4ever implemented UMRA (with Password Synchronization Manager) in a 30-day rollout, automating provisioning from the district’s SIS to Google Apps, Exchange and Office 365. As a result, accounts are automatically created once a day, the manual summer account-creation position was eliminated, the district no longer needs separate solutions for Office 365, system crashes ceased, and the district realized substantial cost savings and more reliable access for students and staff.
