Marywood University, a private Catholic liberal arts school in Scranton with over 3,200 undergraduate and graduate students and several hundred staff, faced a labor‑intensive, error-prone manual provisioning process that left students waiting for accounts well into the semester and generated long lines and many helpdesk and registrar complaints. To address this, Marywood selected Tools4ever and its User Management Resource Administrator (UMRA).
Tools4ever implemented UMRA to fully automate provisioning from the Ellucian SIS so portal accounts, Gmail addresses and passwords are created automatically; provisioning now happens in minutes rather than days, students receive access on time, dozens of daily helpdesk calls have dried up, and registrar/student complaints have dropped significantly—freeing IT and helpdesk staff to focus on other projects. Tools4ever’s UMRA also positions Marywood to add a self‑service password reset to further reduce support overhead.
