Umra Drastically Reduces The Time The Pullman It Department Spends On Account Provisioning

Pullman School District, a Washington state district with over 2,800 active users and 1,100 supported machines, faced an inefficient, manual account management process that required 10–15 minutes per account. While attending APCE they selected Tools4ever’s User Management Resource Administrator (UMRA) and implemented UMRA Automation to address inconsistent provisioning, naming, and cleanup of user accounts.

Tools4ever’s UMRA automatically provisions accounts entered in Skyward into Active Directory, Google Apps, and Microsoft Exchange, creates network home folders and roaming profiles with correct permissions, builds class-based AD groups for Moodle integration, and automatically disables and later removes accounts when users leave. As a result, the district moved from days or 10–15 minutes per account to automated provisioning in seconds, achieving consistent, faster de/provisioning, a cleaner, more secure network, and freeing IT staff to focus on higher-value work.
