Colby Sawyer College, a baccalaureate institution expanding into distance learning, was manually managing account provisioning and handling a high volume of password-related helpdesk calls, which was time-consuming and error-prone. Tools4ever was selected to address these issues using User Management Resource Administrator (UMRA) and Self Service Reset Password Management (SSRPM).

Tools4ever integrated UMRA with the college’s PowerCampus system to run nightly queries that create Exchange mailboxes, assign Active Directory group memberships, and automatically de-provision accounts, while SSRPM enables faculty and students to securely reset passwords themselves. As a result, account creation now happens in near real-time, password-related helpdesk requests have been significantly reduced, and the IT team has reclaimed time to focus on new projects such as a student portal.
