The City of St. Petersburg, Florida’s fifth-largest city with over 3,200 employees, was experiencing productivity losses and frequent account lockouts after stricter password expiration rules left staff unable to access multiple applications. Those lockouts generated a large volume of helpdesk password-reset requests, so the city selected Tools4ever’s Self Service Reset Password Manager (SSRPM) to address the problem.
Tools4ever implemented SSRPM to enable employees to securely reset their own passwords by answering security questions, removing the need for helpdesk intervention. The deployment eliminated a majority of password-reset calls, allowed IT staff to focus on higher-priority projects, improved overall security, and restored employee productivity across the City of St. Petersburg.
