Captain Parker's Pub, a long-standing West Yarmouth, MA restaurant known for lobster rolls and clam chowder, faced the challenge of keeping customers engaged and driving repeat business during COVID-19. With in-person traffic reduced, the team relied on social media, paid ads and Google My Business but needed a better way to retain patrons, build an email list, and nurture longtime fans into repeat customers.
They implemented Toast Loyalty alongside Toast POS, Online Ordering and the Kitchen Display System to collect emails at checkout and offer customizable rewards. Using those signups for targeted email newsletters and promotions increased customer lifetime value and repeat takeout orders—resulting in more than 250 loyalty program signups in the first two weeks, with numbers continuing to grow.
