When shelter‑in‑place orders and the departure of college students caused sales to plunge roughly 75%, the team had to rapidly pivot to survive.
By leaning on Toast POS, online ordering, reporting/analytics and kiosks, THB used real‑time data to optimize its digital menu, enable contactless ordering, and integrate third‑party delivery. The strategy stabilized revenue and drove major digital growth: the busiest location went from about 110 online orders per week in January to an average of 650 per week in August, returning the business to pre‑pandemic levels.
