Samsung Electronics Switzerland, a ~200‑employee branch of the global electronics company, faced complex time management challenges: multiple working‑time models, frequent workload changes, and a lack of supervisor visibility into working hours, overtime, and absences. To address these needs they implemented TimeTac’s Employee Time Tracking and Leave Management to replace an inflexible, outdated system and provide a simple, self‑explanatory solution for administrators and employees.
TimeTac enabled Samsung to create and adjust individual working‑time models with automatic recalculation of weekly hours and holiday entitlements, online leave requests and approvals, batch crediting of hours, real‑time browser/terminal tracking, supervisor status overviews and automated timesheet and monthly overtime reports (including filters for internal vs. external staff). As a result, TimeTac significantly reduced HR’s administrative effort, sped up approvals and corrections, gave managers up‑to‑date insight into workloads and overtime, and allowed HR to make independent adjustments with far less time investment.
