Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC), an arena, concert hall, theater and convention center hosting multiple events simultaneously, needed a more efficient way to promote diverse shows with a small marketing team and limited budget. To boost engagement without extra manual effort, BJCC partnered with Ticketmaster and its integration for Facebook Official Events via Ticketmaster’s open API.
Ticketmaster’s API automatically creates Facebook Official Event pages and publishes events across artist, venue and promoter pages, allowing BJCC to centralize updates (videos, presale codes, parking and “Know Before You Go” info) and streamline social promotion. After adopting Ticketmaster’s solution, BJCC saw Fan Reach increase 64%, Engagement Rate rise 69% and a 30% decrease in time spent on promotions, freeing the team to focus on other campaign tasks.
