Infotools, an international market research technology company, needed to automate coding and analysis of large volumes of open‑ended survey responses (verbatims) that were increasingly multilingual and impractical to code manually. They chose Thematic for its survey‑focused text analytics, NLP expertise, easy‑to‑use API and value‑based (per‑survey) pricing model to integrate into their visualization and data science offerings.

Thematic implemented a solution combining machine translation with advanced text analytics and a flexible API that Infotools’ data scientists learned quickly; Thematic’s layered, tunable approach was integrated into Infotools’ service stack. In a large European telco case the solution delivered unified, actionable themes across languages, produced results comparable to manual coding, cut analysis costs to about one‑third, sped insight delivery and enabled many more surveys to be run at scale.
