Unilever boosts sales for Ben & Jerry’s with retail data

Unilever worked with Mindshare and The Trade Desk to promote Ben & Jerry’s desserts in Singapore, aiming to build awareness and drive sales of new and existing flavours among relevant audiences such as Gen Z consumers and ice cream lovers. The team needed a way to reach high-intent shoppers and prove how media investment translated into real sales.

Using The Trade Desk’s partnership with foodpanda, Unilever activated foodpanda’s first-party retail data and sales measurement solution to target past Ben & Jerry’s buyers and frozen dessert purchasers across the open internet. The campaign delivered 1.5x ROAS overall, with the Ben & Jerry’s customer segment reaching 26x ROAS and 94% lower CPA than the campaign average, while also increasing transaction volume on the foodpanda app.
