Samsung partnered with The Trade Desk to improve how it drove online sales for a new flagship smartphone in Indonesia. Using Blibli.com’s marketplace environment, Samsung wanted to target highly relevant shoppers and measure off-platform traffic more effectively, with the goal of tripling ROAS versus its always-on average.
The Trade Desk helped Samsung and Mindshare Indonesia run a display campaign across the open internet and Indonesia’s GDP Network using custom audiences, Blibli first-party data, and retail measurement. The campaign delivered an 11.2x ROAS, 56% higher ROAS on open exchange inventory with custom audiences, and a 154% lift in sales versus Blibli’s previous mega-sale period; a follow-up preorder campaign for Samsung’s foldable phone achieved a 3.6x ROAS.
