PepsiCo Tropicana achieved 19% brand lift and 3.5x higher click-through rate with a first-of-its-kind programmatic digital out-of-home campaign and retargeting strategy in Malaysia

PepsiCo, through its Tropicana Twister brand, wanted to boost awareness and stand out in Malaysia’s crowded nonalcoholic beverage market. Working with The Trade Desk and agency Publicis Groupe, the team explored a more innovative way to reach consumers using programmatic digital out-of-home (pDOOH) media.

The Trade Desk enabled the campaign through its DSP, combining pDOOH activation, first-party device ID capture, retargeting across programmatic channels, and an InMobi Pulse brand lift study. The campaign delivered 5.7 million audience impressions, drove a 19% increase in brand awareness, a 6% lift in brand consideration, and achieved 3.5x higher click-through rates versus third-party targeting audiences.
