Luxury Escapes takes flight with Unified ID 2.0 strategy to discover new travel audiences

Luxury Escapes, an Australian-based online travel agency with 7 million global members, wanted to find new ways to reach net-new customers using its first-party data. Working with The Trade Desk, the company explored a privacy-conscious identity approach through Unified ID 2.0 (UID2) to improve audience targeting beyond third-party cookies.

The Trade Desk helped Luxury Escapes onboard CRM data with UID2 and build lookalike audiences using Audience Predictor and Koa AI. Compared with pixel-based audiences, the UID2-powered strategy delivered major gains, including a 276% higher conversion rate, 4.75x higher return on ad spend, and 78.3% lower cost per action in Australia, with similarly strong results across other markets.
