How Orangetheory Fitness used podcasts to grow registration

Orangetheory Fitness worked with The Trade Desk and agency Tombras to find a more effective way to drive awareness and class bookings in early 2023. The challenge was to reach people in a “fitness” mindset, especially those listening to podcasts while working out and living near Orangetheory locations.

Using The Trade Desk, the team ran a private deal against Acast podcast inventory, applied content signal reporting, Audience Predictor, and conversion pixels to optimize targeting and measure performance. The campaign produced Orangetheory’s strongest results, with cost per booking confirmation 16% more efficient on Acast podcasts than other podcast inventory, and health and wellness podcasts delivering 33% lower cost per site visit and 59% lower cost per booking confirmation.
