How Shaw Communications shares its inclusive culture with candidates

Shaw Communications wanted to extend its strong “People First” and inclusive workplace culture into recruiting so it could attract candidates who shared its values. To do that, Shaw partnered with Textio and rolled out its inclusive language platform to help improve job postings and candidate communications.

Using Textio’s recruiting and LinkedIn Recruiter functionality, Shaw refined job ads and sourcing messages to be more inclusive and compelling, and later expanded usage across employer branding, D&I, marketing, and internal communications. The result was greater confidence among recruiters, stronger candidate outreach, and internal metrics showing Shaw was reaching a broader group of candidates, all within less than a year of implementation.
