Case Study: Evernote achieves more qualified, diverse applicants with Textio

A Textio Case Study

Preview of the Evernote Case Study

How Evernote Attracts More Qualified and Diverse Applicants

Evernote, led by Michelle Wagner (SVP of People), wanted to grow thoughtfully and avoid the monoculture common at mid-stage startups by attracting more qualified and diverse talent. To improve the effectiveness of their job posts and outreach, Evernote adopted Textio’s augmented writing platform to craft higher-performing listings and recruiting emails.

Using Textio, Evernote quickly improved job copy—within months 60% of their postings scored 90+ on the Textio Score and the company maintained an average score around 88—producing more than double the Glassdoor click-to-apply rate and engagement roughly three times the average. The stronger listings also raised candidate quality (5% more pass initial review, 7% more pass recruiter screens, 6% more pass hiring manager review) and increased diversity (applications from underrepresented minorities rose from 8% to 10%, and women applicants climbed from 31% to 40%), demonstrating measurable impact from Textio.
