F5 Networks - Customer Case Study

F5 Networks set out to evolve its culture and hiring practices around a new set of guiding principles called BeF5, with the goal of communicating desired behaviors and attracting more diverse talent. To do this, F5 Networks partnered with Textio and adopted Textio’s augmented-writing, data-driven language guidance to make job posts and recruiting content more intentional and inclusive.

Textio was deployed across managers and recruiters (with a minimum Textio Score target of 80 and shared documents averaging an 85 vs. 65 for unshared content), and its insights were used to insert high-performing words aligned to each BeF5 behavior. The results were measurable: phrases like “initiative” cut time-to-fill by 27% and “ownership” led 2 of 3 listings to fill faster; “work independently” yielded 27% more women applicants; “deadlines” and “fast-paced environment” reduced time-to-fill by 27% and 16% respectively; and terms such as “multitask,” “detail-oriented,” “creative,” and “customer experience” boosted women applicant rates by 62%, 61%, 42%, and 46% respectively — demonstrating Textio’s impact on diversity and hiring speed.
