Checkout.com uses Textio to standardize inclusive recruiting language for greater DEI impact

Checkout.com, a global payments provider with about 1,700 colleagues across 21 offices, needed to standardize inclusive recruiting language and improve candidate communications across job posts, outreach emails, their careers site and social content. To tackle this, they partnered with Textio and deployed Textio’s Job Posts, LinkedIn Recruiter and Gmail extensions plus Employer Brand guidance to overhaul job descriptions and candidate-facing copy.

By rolling out Textio across recruiting mail, job posts and employer-brand content, Checkout.com quadrupled the number of emails sent in under six months and raised their average Textio Score to nearly 85—placing them ahead of direct competitors. Textio’s language guidance also spurred behavioral change across the team, improving consistency of the candidate experience and reinforcing broader DEI practices.
