Power Products protects remote employees with CrashPlan

Power Products, a medium-sized electronics company, needed to protect remote employees’ endpoint data from lost or stolen laptops, hard-drive failures and during migrations as part of its disaster recovery/business-continuity plan. They had relied on Windows folder sync but wanted a more reliable, manageable way to back up and recover end-user files.

They deployed Code42 CrashPlan as a fully hosted public-cloud solution (data and encryption keys stored in the Code42 cloud), replacing Windows folder sync. The rollout was easy to deploy and simplified restores, resulting in more consistent endpoint backups, fewer support tickets and IT hours spent on restores, and increased end-user productivity.
