A TechValidate Case Study
California Baptist University partnered with Code42 to reduce IT time spent managing backups. Facing risks from lost or stolen laptops, hard-drive failures, and the need to support disaster recovery and a growing mobile workforce, the university wanted a single endpoint data protection and file-sharing solution to replace manual backups to USB and external drives.
They deployed CrashPlan as a hybrid cloud solution (some data on-premises, some in Code42’s public cloud), streamlining backup and recovery for laptops and desktops. The implementation increased the reliability and consistency of endpoint backups, reduced the cost and complexity of backup hardware and management, and cut the IT hours required to restore data.
