Würth, a global specialist in fastening and assembly technology serving over 540,000 customers with more than 125,000 products, needed to guarantee uninterrupted supplies for workshops and production halls. To automate inventory tracking it developed the ORSY® SYSTEM-REGAL SENSOR smart shelves, but faced major challenges: no automated ordering, cumbersome remote access and costly on-site support whenever technical issues arose.

By deploying TeamViewer IoT with the Dell IOT Edge Gateway 3001, Würth created a secure, web-based central platform that reads shelf sensors, triggers automatic reorders and enables fast remote diagnostics and configuration.
