Case Study: Liebherr achieves hands-free visualization of critical machine sensor data with TeamViewer xInspect

A TeamViewer Case Study

Preview of the Liebherr Case Study

Thanks to smart glasses and xInspect, the machine operators at Liebherr have all the needed information in the field of view

Liebherr‑Werk Nenzing, an Austrian construction machinery manufacturer, needed a safer, more efficient way for crane operators to access critical sensor data. Operators were forced to look down at centralized machine controllers for information while also monitoring loads and their surroundings, creating distraction and risk.

TeamViewer adapted its xInspect solution to stream IoT sensor data (e.g., inclination, load, wind) via MQTT to smart glasses (Glass EE and RealWear HMT‑1), showing one or two parameters in the operator’s field of view. Managed through Frontline Creator and the Command Center, the system improved situational awareness, required only short training, and has been positively received—Liebherr continues to refine the visualization based on operator feedback.
