SRF Limited, a multi-business chemicals manufacturer, needed a way to support machines and train shop-floor staff remotely when COVID-related travel restrictions prevented suppliers from installing equipment on-site. The company also wanted live issue detection for product quality and faster troubleshooting, as downtime could stretch from hours to days.
TeamViewer implemented Frontline Assist, an AR-based remote support solution that let technicians at SRF’s Chennai Center of Excellence guide on-site workers through smart glasses using “you see what I see” support, virtual instructions, and markers. With TeamViewer, SRF cut machine downtime from days to hours and achieved about 50% time savings in maintenance and service processes, while also improving knowledge transfer, supply chain resilience, and customer and employee satisfaction.
