Mondi makes their maintenance processes hands-free with AR

Mondi, a global leader in packaging and paper, faced inconsistent and time-consuming maintenance at its Slovak mill (Mondi SCP). After initial vendor training, technicians were often on their own and relied on clumsy video-and-email workflows to get help, causing delays, longer downtimes and uneven maintenance quality — prompting a search for a more streamlined, efficient solution.

Working with AYES, Mondi deployed TeamViewer Frontline’s xAssist on RealWear Navigator 500 smart glasses to enable hands‑free, see‑what‑I‑see video calls with remote experts, digital pointers and step‑by‑step guidance. The result was faster troubleshooting and higher first‑time‑fix rates, reduced travel costs and carbon footprint, shorter unplanned stoppages and improved maintenance quality — a solution now rolling out across the group’s production facilities.
