CNES, the French space agency, needed a way for space and ground researchers to interact remotely for medical research in orbit. Working with TeamViewer and its remote access technology, CNES aimed to improve tele-operation of medical equipment in space and enable more precise diagnosis from afar.

TeamViewer implemented a private link connecting the researchers, delivering excellent image quality and instant probe response. This allowed medical staff to make accurate diagnoses and identify a major change in blood vessels after six months in microgravity, significantly advancing understanding of the effects of space travel on the human body.
