BrauKon, a Bavarian maker of bespoke turnkey brewing systems for customers in over 60 countries, faced a major service challenge: complex, site-specific commissioning and maintenance require specialist expertise, and international travel — already costly — became impossible during the COVID-19 pandemic, threatening project timelines and customers’ production continuity.
BrauKon addressed this by digitalizing support with TeamViewer and TeamViewer Assist AR, setting up a virtual control station and offering 24/7 remote and AR-guided assistance via customers’ smartphones. The result: remote commissioning (including one U.S. plant) was completed faster than scheduled, about 85% of support requests are resolved on first 2nd-level contact, travel costs fell up to 50%, downtimes and support times decreased, and customers gained reliable, on-demand startup and servicing.
