Volunteer State Optimizes Resources & Improves Service Delivery

Volunteer State Community College, a Tennessee public community college serving more than 10,000 students and about 1,000 faculty and staff, struggled with a rudimentary ticketing system, no service catalog or triage, and ad-hoc prioritization that made IT support reactive and inefficient. CIO Kevin Blankenship and Manager of Client Services Les Norwood implemented TeamDynamix as an enterprise ITSM platform to replace the “Whac-a-Mole” approach and modernize service delivery.

Using TeamDynamix, the college implemented a service catalog, automated workflows and routing, and integrated asset management, producing immediate efficiency gains and better visibility into resolution times. TeamDynamix enabled automatic notifications/approvals, reduced manual handoffs, helped track 500 loaned devices during remote learning, and encouraged adoption across other campus offices—resulting in faster, more accountable service and measurable improvements in staff productivity.
