University of Dayton, a long-time user of TeamDynamix’s enterprise service management platform (originally for ITSM and PPM and expanded campus-wide), needed a fast, auditable way to manage COVID-19 case reporting, contact tracing and daily symptom screening so students and staff could return safely for the fall 2020 semester. With a tight timeline and complex notification requirements across departments, the university needed a solution that could be stood up quickly without buying new software.
Using the TeamDynamix no-code platform, a lead systems analyst built Positive Case Disclosure, Close Contact and Daily Check-In forms and configurable workflows in under a week, integrated via API with housing and other systems, and created dashboards to track outbreaks and target testing. TeamDynamix’s automation and integrations delivered timely alerts to contact tracers, housing, deans and HR, helped focus testing where outbreaks occurred, and enabled the university to support in-person instruction when it might not otherwise have been possible.
