California State University, Chico needed a more capable, higher-education–focused platform to improve IT service delivery for its more than 17,000 students, faculty, and staff. In summer 2015 the Information Resources (IRES) department replaced its legacy tool with TeamDynamix’s cloud-based IT service management (ITSM) solution to provide better visibility, streamlined request flows, and tools tailored to campus needs.
TeamDynamix delivered a single-platform solution — including a client portal with a service catalog (13 default categories), a knowledge base, integrated ticketing, customizable dashboards, and post-closure surveys — that let users track requests and view technician communications, reducing follow-up calls and increasing operational transparency. Chico State reports improved ticket visibility, faster issue resolution through clearer assignment and escalation, and is now rolling out TeamDynamix Project Portfolio Management (PPM) to centralize project and portfolio work across the university.
