Achieve Excellence in Project Management with a Centralized Approach

The University of Colorado’s University Information Systems (UIS) PMO, which supports four campuses and tens of thousands of students and staff, needed to modernize project prioritization, standardize processes, increase visibility into major projects, and improve resource utilization. To address these challenges they selected TeamDynamix and implemented TeamDynamix Project and Portfolio Management (PPM), a cloud-based work management solution.

TeamDynamix PPM gave the UIS PMO a single system—featuring the My Work app, capacity planner, workflow guides and analysis tools—that centralized project tracking and resource planning across campuses. As a result TeamDynamix helped the PMO reduce weekly resource-reporting time from about 1.5 days to a half day, improve visibility into staff workloads (with team members entering actual hours), and make better go/no-go and scope decisions for major efforts like degree-audit, HR and finance upgrades and a prospective data-center move.
