A Talogy Case Study
A Fortune 100 healthcare supplies organization facing high new‑hire turnover and concerns about safety, attendance, performance and corrective actions piloted Select International’s SecureFit® pre‑employment assessment in its pharmaceutical distribution unit while leaving its medical unit as a control. Leadership wanted to know whether adding a short, unproctored online screening could improve hiring quality and reduce costly outcomes.
Using SecureFit as a hiring hurdle in the pharmaceutical unit produced measurable gains: 30‑day new‑hire turnover fell from 22.6% to 19.8%; candidates who passed were far more likely to be rated on‑target or above (no one who failed was rated above target); safety incidents and lost/restricted days were dramatically lower (lost days 0 vs 194, restricted duty 0 vs 22, OSHA recordables 1 vs 5); corrective actions dropped from 29% to 17% and attendance/performance corrective actions from 14% to 6%. The organization estimated substantial cost savings (roughly $139K per 100 hires in turnover savings and up to ~$800K in avoided safety costs) and plans to expand SecureFit more broadly.
