Elsevier, a 140-year-old leader in scientific, technical and medical information, faced the challenge of accelerating its move to digital while staying compliant with regulations and managing a complex, global data landscape. The company needed to replace fragmented, unit-specific integration tools that slowed development, limited visibility, and hindered fast, enterprise-wide decision-making.

Elsevier selected Talend and deployed a cloud‑agnostic, federated integration platform on AWS to consolidate integrations, automate CI/CD pipelines, and support master data management and BI. The solution connected 35 disparate systems, unlocked 50 years of data for analytics, reduced licensing and hosting costs by decommissioning legacy tools, and sped up integration delivery—improving agility, resource scheduling, and self-service access for business stakeholders.
