TUI Group’s UK and Ireland business needed to give online holiday shoppers more confidence and reduce the long decision-making cycle for big-ticket travel purchases. It worked with Taggstar and its social proof messaging platform to help improve conversion across its travel brands.
Taggstar implemented real-time social proof messages across TUI sites, highlighting popularity and scarcity signals such as how many people had viewed or booked a holiday. The trial delivered millions of messages and drove a major increase in eCommerce conversions, with TUI reporting extra sales, a peak conversion uplift in January 2016, and ongoing use of Taggstar for more than four years.
