A Syncron Case Study
JCB, a leading provider of construction equipment with 14 distribution centers and more than 2,000 dealer locations, faced a complex global supply chain made up of multiple ERP systems and fragmented manual parts-management processes. Planners lacked visibility into supply and demand across stocking locations, causing forecast inaccuracies and inventory imbalances. To address these challenges, JCB implemented Syncron Inventory.
Syncron deployed Syncron Inventory to centralize parts planning, automate the majority of service-parts planning, and enable inventory redistribution so warehouses can work together to meet demand. The solution gave JCB complete visibility and control of inventory, eliminated overstocking, and reduced manual effort; it delivered a 7.4 percentage point (nearly 8%) increase in customer service levels, improved uptime, and faster reaction to changes in demand.
